Dog & Pet Policy

We welcome a maximum of 2 dogs per cabin in our standalone cabin rentals only. There is a flat fee of $25.00 per dog for the full duration of your stay. Dogs only—cats are strictly prohibited. For health and safety reasons, pets are not allowed in beds or on sofas, and they must not be left unattended in the cabins unless they are securely crated.

Dogs are strictly prohibited inside The Glen Lodge, and The Inn at Bear Tree. Guests are entirely responsible for cleaning up after their pets, including outdoor droppings. Any deep-cleaning required due to pet hair, tracking, or odor will result in an automatic cleaning fee billed to your card on file, starting at a $50.00 minimum.

Cabin Supplies & Self-Catering

All Bear Tree cabins and rooms are self-catering. We provide a convenient starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and garbage bags. Once these starter items run out, guests are responsible for their own restocking. We kindly ask that you take what you bring in, and you can purchase additional groceries or household supplies nearby at Young’s Store.

Private Fire Pits & Fire Safety

Each private cabin features its own dedicated outdoor fire pit. Out-of-state firewood is legally restricted to protect local forests, but guests can bring local wood or purchase convenient bundles directly on the property for $5.00 per bundle (via pre-order delivery or our self-service cash box).

For the safety of the property and surrounding wilderness, your campfire must be completely put out when you retire for the night or leave the cabin area. Any unattended fires will result in an automatic $100.00 safety fee.

Quiet Hours & Community Noise

We want all of our guests to have an incredible experience in the Great North Woods. We simply ask that you remain deeply respectful of your neighbors and nearby property owners. Please refrain from loud music, heavy noise, or disruptive behavior during our designated quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Smoking Restrictions

Smoking is 100% strictly prohibited inside all of our cabins, The Inn, and The Glen Lodge. If smoking odors, ash, or evidence are detected inside the property after your departure, your card will automatically be charged a $200.00 restoration fee to cover deep cleaning.

Check-Out Cleaning Guidelines

A cleaning fee is applied to all cabin and room rentals. To help our housekeeping team prepare for the next guests, we kindly ask that you leave your lodging in a clean and tidy state. Please ensure all dishes are washed (or run the dishwasher before leaving if your cabin has one), place used bathroom towels inside the bathtub, and leave the beds you slept in unmade.

Please ensure all gas grills are turned off, covered, and left without excessive burnt-on food. Excessive mess left behind by guests or pets will result in additional cleaning fees billed directly to your card on file.
